For four minutes, de Girolamo runs while progressively extending a red-and-white barrier tape across the landscape. The material used to mark a boundary and indicate a limit becomes part of the action itself: as the performer advances, the line multiplies, accumulates, and increasingly interferes with his movement.
The work transforms the simple act of running into a tension between progression and obstruction. The finish line is no longer a fixed destination, but something continuously produced by the performer himself — a boundary that must be crossed while simultaneously being constructed.
